After his previous owners returned him for being “too clingy”, sweet cat named Coco is adopted, only for his new owner to discover she is allergic to cats: ‘I am not giving him up’

The first time I tried to adopt a cat, my sister and I went into an animal shelter to find a sweet feline in need of a home. However, ten minutes into the visit, I started sneezing, and before I knew it, my eyes started to close and my skin began to swell.

I was sure I was allergic to cats, and that I would never be able to adopt a furry feline of my own. However, I refused to give up, and did every checkup known to man to see what needed to be done so that I could welcome a catto into my home.

Today, I am the purroud owner of two beautiful fur babies, and neither of them makes me sneeze whatsoever.

I can go on and on about my story, but the story below is even more heartwarming than mine. This sweet hooman adopted a senior cat after he was returned twice to the shelter for being "too clingy." Then, the new owner discovered she was definitely allergic to her new furriend, but returning him to the shelter was not an option for her.

    JayGalz_ I am allergic to cats but I have 6 rescues and I have built up an immunity to my own cats that they don't affect me the same way. But other peoples cats set me off still

    rachaelfaithwalker Thank you for not returning him. Thank you for loving him. Thank you for giving him the love & life he deserves. I grew up extremely allergic but luckily I grew out of them, I fell in love & was willing to do anything if the allergies ever came back. He was my soul cat & nothing could have ever been better than being in my early 20"/ with my absolute best friend
